We present the results of our study of double-double radio galaxies, which are striking examples of episodic jet activity using both the GMRT and the VLA. We illustrate the importance of multifrequency radio observations across a large wavelength range to determine the spectral ages of the inner and outer doubles and constrain models of these sources. We also discuss fuelling of this episodic activity and the possible occurrence of misaligned double-double radio sources.
