Title: Extinction curves in AGN

Abstract: 
The optical/UV spectra of AGN show considerable dispersion. There are 
strong arguments that extinction by dust is one of the important contributors, 
and the spectra of practically all AGN need to be corrected in order to 
recover the intrinsic spectral shape. I will review the proposed 
extinction curves. Finally, I will address the implication of the required 
dust composition for the AGN structure.
