Abstract: I will present results of recent variability campaigns of selected 
AGN. The spectra have been taken with the 9.2m Hobby-Eberly Telescope. 
Some AGN show intense line profile variations on time scales of days to weeks only. 
Other galaxies show smooth line profile variations on time scales of years.
